Efficiencies at airport

While waiting to pick up Bhabhi at JFK tonight, I saw how many people are waiting in their cars to pick up passengers while in many cases – passengers are waiting to be picked up. Not sure there is a way to make it more efficient – but definitely something not most efficient.
